By accessing or using Chartered Mind ("the Service", "we", "our", or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all users of the platform, including students, visitors, and any other individuals who access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Chartered Mind is an AI-powered exam preparation platform for professional accounting and finance qualifications, including ACCA, CMA, and CFA. The Service includes:

• AI-generated and curated practice questions
• AI tutor with conversational learning support
• Mock examination simulations
• Study notes, formula libraries, and revision materials
• Performance analytics and progress tracking

3. Accounts and Registration

3.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@charteredmind.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

3.3 Accurate Information

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

4.1 Pricing

Access to certain features requires purchase of an exam-specific subscription. Prices are displayed at the time of purchase and are inclusive of any applicable taxes where required.

4.2 Payments

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service. We do not store your payment card details.

4.3 Refunds

We offer a 7-day refund policy for exam subscriptions where no more than 10% of the practice questions have been attempted. To request a refund, contact us at support@charteredmind.com within 7 days of purchase.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Share your account credentials or allow others to access your account
• Copy, reproduce, or redistribute any content from the Service without permission
• Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to extract content
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with any part of the Service
• Upload or transmit harmful, illegal, or offensive content
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable regulations
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Service — including questions, notes, AI responses, graphics, and software — is owned by or licensed to Chartered Mind and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial study purposes only. This licence does not include the right to resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit any content.

7. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate practice questions, explanations, and tutor responses. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors. You should verify important information against official study materials and qualification body resources. Chartered Mind is not affiliated with ACCA, CMA Institute, or CFA Institute.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free
• Results obtained from using the Service will be accurate or reliable
• Use of the Service will guarantee exam success

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Chartered Mind shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or exam failure.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that harms the Service or other users. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at support@charteredmind.com.

11. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice on the platform at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts.
